Ans: Function of resource management to manage all the hardware and software resources. This includes allocation and de-allocation of processor, memory, access to shared cache memory and access to network resources.

Q1: Describe the steps involved in problem solving.  Ans:  1) Define the problem:  In problem solving process, the first step is defining or identifying the problem. It is the most difficult and the most important of all the steps. During this stage of problem solving, it is important to describe the problem.  2) Generate alternative solutions: For any problem, there are more solutions to it than the one that is thought of first.
