Scientific Notation

 Scientific Notation: Scientific notation or the standard form is a simple method of writing very large numbers or very small numbers. In this method numbers are written as powers of ten.

Numbers in Scientific Notation are made up of three parts: The coefficient, the base and the exponent.

Ø  The coefficient must be equal to or (Not zero).

Ø  Greater than one.

Ø  The base must be 10.

Ø  The exponent can be negative or positive.
